During this session, you will have the opportunity to discuss your child's health history and learn more about the benefits of acupuncture and integrative medicine for children of all ages, from newborns to adolescents. We encourage all parents to schedule this session to discuss your child's specific needs prior to scheduling an initial pediatric consultation.

During this consultation, we will review your child's health history as well as develop a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses the needs of your child and family. Treatment plans may include acupuncture, nutritional counseling, lifestyle modifications, functional medicine testing, food allergy testing, as well as relaxation techniques appropriate for all ages. Families may also choose the use of acupuncture as a safe, gentle, and holistic way to address many common childhood conditions in conjunction with pediatric care. Acupuncture treatments are designed to accommodate a wide range of ages and personalities including acupressure, microcurrent, low-level laser treatment, and Shonishin-a specialized form of pediatric massage.

Parents choose integrative medicine and acupuncture for many childhood conditions including ADD/ADHD, allergies, anxiety and stress disorders, autoimmune conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, immune system support, Lyme Disease, migraines, and PANDAS. Children with a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries including concussions and traumatic brain injuries also benefit from acupuncture and integrative therapeutics. Follow-up pediatric acupuncture sessions include a range of modalities depending on the child's age, health history, and comfort level as they progress during their treatment sessions. In addition to acupuncture, sessions may include forms of needle-less forms acupuncture including acupressure, microcurrent, low-level laser treatment, or Shonishin. This specialized form of pediatric massage has a wide range of benefits for infants and children typically under the age of seven. In addition to acupuncture and nutritional support, we will also work closely with the child's pediatrician to coordinate care when appropriate.

All follow-up consultations are designed to support both child and family. Consultations may include a review of recent lab work, nutritional counseling, supplement review, and other modalities to support your child’s progress. Additionally, these sessions may include parent trainings of various at-home techniques such as acupressure, to facilitate you child’s innate ability to heal. We believe that a team approach benefits all of our patients and will work closely with the child's pediatrician to coordinate care when appropriate. Discover an integrated approach to food, combining Eastern and Western nutritional therapies. This session focuses on the use of food for medicine, reviews nutritional supplementation, and herbal therapies when appropriate. Food sensitivity testing is also available for clients to address delayed immune reactions to common foods, colorings, and additives.
